Emerging Trends in Learning Outsourcing in Asia Pacific

2005 Cape Group Outsourced Learning Research Report.

This research was conducted during June and July 2005 and involved a study of industry trends in the Asia Pacific. The report makes comparisons with those seen in the US market. As part of the research, a number of learning providers from the region were interviewed to gain insight into the trends and challenges faced by both providers and their customers in the course of outsourcing the learning function.

The report includes a profile of each of the learning outsourcing providers interviewed during the course of the research, highlighting their service offerings and the market segments in which they operate. These profiles provide a valuable insight for organisations negotiating the gamut of outsourced learning services in the Asia Pacific market. It offers a view of recent activity in the region and a sample of the types of services available to them.

Despite revealing that Asia Pacific-based organisations are currently less inclined to outsource their entire learning function, the research highlights a growing market for learning outsourcing with an inclination towards the “out-tasking” of specific components of learning.
