This year has been one heck of a year and one that evokes the full range of emotions…. anger, worry, conservation, uncertainty, desperation, and in the background the mere fact that we are here should be viewed as being blessed. If we take just one bit of time to disconnect ourselves from these fear driven emotions we would realize that no matter what the future might bring, and what the past has slapped us with, we still can have hope be our guide.
I try and count my blessings, no matter how big or small, or anticipated or not. This helps ME to push forward and to deliver unselfishly to those that I have made a commitment to. I am sure that I could be a whole lot richer, maybe even enjoying a life of retirement, had I not made a commitment to myself to pursue a noble cause. There are times when I too question why? But then I get a ray of hope, a word of encouragement and sometimes even a bit of sorely needed money to help sustain life for myself and family.
As we look around this troubled world (I think this is the only part hitched to Global Sourcing), with so many challenges to stability we have to feel a bit sorry about it all. But then we remember that it’s through unselfish acts and one small step at a time that we are in fact the drivers in the world. If only one deed results in a change in behavior to the positive then is it not all worth it? It’s hard to measure the effects but even if we could what would we do but self-indulge in personal joy. So rather than do that concede to believing that it’s taking place and allow it to flow over you as you make a difference in 2011.
Happy Holidays to everyone and I hope you will be blessed with renewed commitment, enthusiasm and positive thinking each day of your life.
