Cisco has been at the heart of many historic changes in technology. Now, at a time when the technology industry is going through a period of dramatic change, Cisco is becoming the leader in wireless and security. Wireless connectivity promotes unprecedented mobility and flexibility for information workers. Freed from needing to be hard‐wired to an IP cable, people can move freely, connecting to the voice and data network wherever wireless access is supported. This has led to improvements in productivity at work, at home, and in a variety of public places, allowing people to connect to networks with laptops, PDAs, phones, and more. It has enabled new and more flexible workplace designs. Cisco realized that to gain market share it needed not only to bring its resources up‐to‐date in planning, designing, deploying and managing Wireless networks, but also provide its clients with the necessary training so they can deploy Cisco's Wireless solutions.
