recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement Award from CompTIA (The Computing
Technology Industry Association). The award was presented at this year’s CompTIA
Colloquium event, an exclusive forum for leaders from the IT training industries.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes the career and achievements of individuals whose careers have greatly contributed to the advancement or promotion of the Global IT Industry and who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their professional lives, personal integrity and stature.
Vic Melfa’s career in the IT industry is deeply rooted and spans over five decades. He
began his career in senior management for leading emerging technical organizations,
where he managed the product and marketing development of many of the original IT technologies. Vic founded several companies including two of the first major computer distributors, and The Training Associates which is now the largest worldwide provider of trainers.
