More and more, executives accept the fact that innovation is a core business necessity. They see the battle for share in any market niche as ultimately a battle to build the best innovation culture. Fifteen years ago there was little noise about innovation. It didn't appear in nearly as many organizational value statements as today. Only a handful of conferences and university courses around the world focused on it. Now there are conferences every week, schools everywhere are touting their new innovation curricula, and if you don't get the word innovation into your presentations, analysts are going to wonder.
