Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Certification Program is Approved for
Continuing Education Credits by the International Coach Federation, the
HR Certification Institute, and the National Board for Certified
Counselors.
Gainesville, FL (PRWEB)
May 13, 2010 -- The Center for Applications of Psychological Type
(CAPT) announced today that its Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)
Certification Program has been awarded approval for continuing
education (CE) credits by the National Board for Certified Counselors
(NBCC), the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), and the International
Coach Federation (ICF).
The most recent addition to CAPT's
lineup of training and development programs approved for continuing
education is the International Coach Federation, which has approved the
MBTI® Certification Program for 28 Continuing Coaching Education (CCE)
units. Credentialed coaches must earn 40 hours of Continuing Coach
Education every three years in order to retain their credential.
"Coaches are an increasing part of our training business," says Lisa
Orr, CAPT's Director of Operations. "The MBTI® assessment gives coaches
an effective tool to help maximize their client's personal and
professional potential. We are pleased to have the CAPT MBTI®
Certification Program accepted for ICF's rigorous credentialing
process."
CAPT's MBTI® Certification program
is also approved for recertification credit hours through the HR
Certification Institute, and credits from the program apply toward the
following certifications for HR professionals: PHR® (Professional in
Human Resources), SPHR® (Senior Professional in Human Resources), GPHR®
(Global Professional in Human Resources).
Certified counselors must also maintain their credential, and CAPT is
recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to
offer continuing education credits for National Certified Counselors.
In addition, CAPT is approved to offer continuing education credits by
the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy
and Mental Health Counseling, the Florida Board of Psychology, the
Florida Office of School Psychology, and the Florida Council of
Dietetics and Nutrition. Programs approved by these organizations
include CAPT's MBTI® Certification, MBTI® Step II™ program, and the MBTI® Step III™ Certification program.
Both the HRCI and NBCC approvals apply to credits earned from CAPT's MBTI® Step III™ Certification program,
as well as CAPT's wide variety of advanced application training
programs that focus on working with the MBTI® instrument, including
coaching, working with teams, career counseling, and developing
successful leaders.
CAPT delivers over 60 professional training programs each year, and
offers them in 15 cities throughout the USA. For over thirty years CAPT
