Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Expands Executive Leadership Training Programs with eCornell
ITHACA, NEW YORK, June 26, 2012 -- Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, a Dallas-based luxury hotel management company, has renewed its executive leadership training contract with eCornell for an additional year.
Rosewood's first-year cohort of participants included select members of its Executive Committee who pursued eCornell's online Certificate in Executive Leadership. The program featured core courses providing instruction on strategy building and executive decision-making, while elective options included instruction in financial analysis, capital investment and coaching for engagement.
"Fostering our burgeoning leaders' professional growth is central to our competitive strategy," said Sheri Line, Vice President of Human Resources, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. "Our partnership with eCornell has enabled us to provide Ivy League-quality training to a globally-dispersed segment of our workforce, entirely online. We are extremely pleased with our leadership performance outcomes in the first year with eCornell. So much, in fact, that we are increasing enrollment and are now looking to broaden the scope to include revenue management and general management certificate programs."
eCornell's unique approach to e-learning combines the most effective elements of a world-class, Ivy League classroom with the flexibility of an online learning environment. eCornell courses—self-paced and 100 percent online—are "instructor-facilitated" to help guide a cohort of 20 to 30 participants through challenging, real-world exercises with practical on-the-job application. Classes enable learners to be immersed in learning that also fosters collaboration, interaction and networking.
"Rosewood participants bring a welcomed global perspective to eCornell's international community of students," said Tom Abogabal, Vice President of Global Sales at eCornell. "Everyone at eCornell is looking forward to working with Rosewood this next year and serving them in an ever-growing capacity."
