Customers Get 2,200 New Choices with MindLeaders and Meridian

Chantilly, Va. – May 1, 2009 – Meridian Knowledge Solutions, LLC has signed an agreement with Dublin, Ohio-based MindLeaders, Inc. that adds 2,200 titles to Meridian’s online library, which now includes more than 15,000 e-learning courses.

“The quantity and quality of content that we’ve gained through our deal with MindLeaders allows us to add an entire ‘wing’ to our Virtual Library,” said Roy Haythorn, vice president of Meridian Operations.  “Meridian has two objectives with its Virtual Library.  First, provide customers with one-stop shopping for content, and, second, guarantee our customers that our library’s third-party courseware will run flawlessly.”

Meridian inked its deal with MindLeaders, in part, because of the Ohio-based company’s 28-year history with training technology.  MindLeaders’ e-learning tools cover a wide array of topics from business skills to compliance training.

Meridian, which makes learning management systems (LMS) for analyzing and delivering training via the Internet, began building its Virtual Library in May 2008 by signing agreements with providers of training content and online assessments.  The deal with MindLeaders is the latest in a string of announcements by Meridian.

“MindLeaders is committed to partnering with leaders in the learning and development space,” stated Philip Payne, director of Marketing for MindLeaders.  “The ability to get our best-in-class e-learning to the markets Meridian serves is a win for us and for this partnership.”

On the heels of signing the MindLeaders contract, the Chantilly, Va.-based company introduced the Commonwealth of Virginia’s State Corporation Commission (SCC) to Meridian’s “Virtual Library.”  Soon after, the SCC purchased training courses from MindLeaders to run on Meridian’s LMS.

“The quality of MindLeaders’ content convinced the Virginia State Corporation Commission to choose our Virtual Library,” added Haythorn.  “Customers can buy the courses they need from the library and begin delivering training via their Meridian LMS in a matter of a few hours.”

Each course Meridian offers through its Virtual Library will run on either the company’s flagship LMS - Meridian Global - or the software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of Meridian’s LMS.  The courses conform to the latest e-learning standards, including SCORM 2004.  And the library contains courses in more than 15 languages.
