American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine Joins Alliance for CME
The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine
has joined the Alliance for CME, a membership organization for ACCME-accredited
providers of continuing medical education.
Orlando, FL, March 14, 2010 --The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM), the
leading academic organization for Urgent Care Medicine which is accredited by
the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), has joined
the Alliance for CME.
The Alliance for CME is a membership organization
that provides professional development opportunities for CME professionals,
advocates for CME and the profession, and strives to improve health care
outcomes. This mirrors the missions and goals of the AAUCM of bringing change in
healthcare provider behavior through innovative educational programs that
improve patient care.
The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine
(AAUCM) is a national organization which represents thousands of physicians who
practice urgent care medicine in various clinical settings throughout the United
States. The purpose of the AAUCM is to contribute to the field of urgent care
medicine in the areas of professional growth, scientific and medical research,
and medical education, all to improve the overall quality of medical care. Our
mission is to advance the profession of urgent care medicine by elevating its
standards through education, basic and advanced training, and to encourage
physicians to seek board certification in urgent care
