BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--Urologists around the globe will soon have access to an interactive and
collaborative training program, as Cook Medical officials announce the
launch of their Urology division’s physician education program, a part
of a company wide Vista Collaboration and Learning Program.
Vista is a series of programs designed to more effectively collaborate
with physicians and provide high-quality education concerning Cook
products and procedures. The Urology Vista program includes four
components designed to support innovation and collaboration in order to
aid physicians in improving service to patients.
Clinical Data and Research – Cook collects product
information in a variety of ways – including randomized clinical trials,
post-market studies and product benchtop testing. Cook is making data
collection more transparent and providing an outlet for physicians to
share best practices by sharing data collected through the OpenDoor™
Resonance® Registry, which supports the efforts of physicians
to gain procedural understanding.
Education and Training – Ongoing education, in the form of
product training, is important to continued improvement of patient care.
Cook’s education and training program includes a complete platform for
three skill levels: foundational, refinement and mastery. Programs
include live cases and skills labs. These programs provide an
opportunity for physicians to work shoulder to shoulder with
internationally renowned peers in small group settings.
Professional Meetings – Cook participates in hundreds of meetings
annually, providing new product demonstrations, society sponsorships and
symposia to physicians around the world. Cook’s presence at these
conferences offers a convenient opportunity for physicians attending the
event to learn about new technologies and participate in hands-on
training with world-renowned urologists.
Thought Leadership – Cook provides forums that allow physicians
to debate and discuss techniques and technologies. As all parties that
participate in healthcare play a role in advancing medicine, Cook is
committed to facilitating an open exchange of information and ideas.
“Cook has always made education and training a top priority.
Collaboration with physicians is a critical component of ensuring
quality treatment options for patients,” said Jean-Marc Creissel, global
business unit leader for Cook Medical’s Urology division. “With Vista,
we are engaging with physicians on a deeper, more impactful level
designed in the spirit of true collaboration and partnership.”
Cook Urology’s Vista program was first announced to the European market
in March. The program launched in North America in May at the annual
American Urological Association conference in Washington, D.C. For more
