SPBT and TGaS® Advisors Partner on Annual Study to Capture the State of Training in Life Sciences Companies

The Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers (SPBT) today announced a partnership with TGaS® Advisors, a division of KnowledgePoint360, to field an annual study that will capture one-of-a-kind data on the field of training in the life science industry. All pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and diagnostic companies are invited to participate in the 2012 SPBT Industry Landscape Study and contribute to this important resource for learning and development leaders.  Formal invitations will be sent to the heads of training departments on Tuesday, February 21.

The study will include both qualitative and quantitative data on the life science industry, training and development trends, scope and structure, curricula, metrics, and technology, as well as future trends and key challenges facing management. Study participants will receive a substantial discount off the purchase of research results as well as ongoing consultation and data access.

"SPBT is excited about this landscape study because it will provide our members with actionable data and insights not just once a year, but throughout the year," said Kevin Kruse, executive director of SPBT. "This is an opportunity to obtain a valuable and unprecedented service for life science training teams. Participant companies can access relevant, timely data to plan competitively and strategically."

Specifically, purchasers of the study receive a research report, a ticket to a roundtable discussion of the results, a one hour consulting/analysis session with a TGaS Advisors senior professional and access to the benchmarking and advisory services firm's Virtual How™ Network, which are mini benchmark studies based on subscriber interest.

"We look forward to supporting SPBT's mission to advance professional training for leaders in our constantly evolving industry," said Chris Goins, vice president, management advisor and leader of TGaS Advisors' Training & Development Practice. "TGaS will give SPBT members an opportunity to learn 'what good looks like' on issues from broad planning needs to immediate questions impacting day-to-day business."

SPBT and TGaS Advisors encourage heads of training departments in life science companies to participate in the study by the deadline of March 6. For more information please contact SPBT at (540) 725-3859. Study results will be available in June, 2012.
