Genpact Signs with eCornell to Train Pre-Sales Technical Advisors

ITHACA, NEW YORK, July 10, 2012 -- Genpact, a global leader in business process and technology management processes, has partnered with eCornell to provide innovative social learning opportunities to an exclusive group of globally dispersed subject matter experts within the company's Practice, Solutions and Transitions team. The Practice, Solutions and Transitions group is core to Genpact's approach to making its clients more intelligent through smarter processes, technology and analytics. The key to success for this group is expertise in both technical and leadership skills across different domains.

In an effort to develop key leadership attributes for this group of experts, Genpact has partnered with eCornell, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cornell University, in the areas of marketing, project leadership, finance and business acumen. The online curriculum has been designed in partnership with Genpact's Learning and Development team and the learning architects at eCornell. The resulting custom certificate program maps to Genpact's competency framework and specific learning needs to deliver the desired business outcomes.

The custom co-branded certificate includes six online courses, with four mandatory and two electives. The first course will be delivered to a private cohort of Genpact employees, and the remainder in public sessions with other eCornell students. This will allow for the benefits of both the high-quality internal discussions among Genpact students, as well as more diverse discussions with the elite members of eCornell's public courses.

"We are excited to be associated with the world-renowned Cornell University via eCornell, known for its unique approach to leadership development that combines the most effective elements of an Ivy League classroom with the flexibility of an online learning environment," said Shalu Manan, VP and Learning Leader at Genpact. "We look forward to getting started and are confident that this program will create significant value for our team."

eCornell's unique approach to e-learning combines the most effective elements of a world-class, Ivy League classroom with the flexibility of an online learning environment. eCornell courses—self-paced and 100 percent online—are "instructor-facilitated" to help guide a cohort of 20 to 30 participants through challenging, real-world exercises with practical on-the-job application. Classes enable learners to be immersed in learning that also fosters collaboration, interaction and networking.

"Genpact is a great addition to our network of clients," said Tom Abogabal, VP of Global Sales at eCornell. "Together we have developed a learning solution that is aligned with the company's business needs of delivering improvements in both individual performance and overall business impact, including better sales support and results."
