Over a century ago, Thomas Edison said, "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." Nobody listened.

When companies launch innovation initiatives, they focus almost all of their time and energy on that initial one percent - the thrilling hunt for the breakthrough idea. They draw guidance from countless books and articles that treat innovation as though it is synonymous with creativity.  The reality is that an idea is only a beginning. Innovation is a long, hard journey, from imagination to impact. And that presents a major challenge because, simply put, organizations are not designed for innovation, they are designed for ongoing operations.

Join us for this exclusive Executive Seminar Series program, presented by TrainingIndustry.com and International Thought Leader Network, your direct connection to today’s leading thinkers, best-selling authors, and most-valued content on key topics such as innovation, change and leadership.

In this seminar, you’ll hear from management and innovation expert Chris Trimble, who has spent the past decade studying this fundamental conflict of innovation versus operations, and how to overcome it. For his presentation Chris will also draw on some of the thought leadership from one of the books he co-authored, Ten Rules for Strategic Innovators - from Idea to Execution.

In this interactive seminar, based on a 10-year study conducted by Vijay Govindarajan and Chris Trimble from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, you will learn:

  • Why innovation is so difficult to execute successfully.
