SIMTICS Mentor has been purpose-designed to address many of the challenges facing the health care training industry. The concept arose from a real educational need, and the software represents a new approach to health profession training which benefits individual, trainer and institution. The product combines four different media: • rich descriptive text with hyperlinks to reference material • interactive 3D anatomy relevant to the specific procedure • video description of the procedure narrated by an expert • VR simulation in learning and testing modes. It provides immediate feedback to the student in learning mode, has a separate test mode to verify competency, and offers inbuilt metrics and logbook to track the student’s progress over time.
